Deepika Padukone has shared photos of her evening look as she prepares for her upcoming film 83.
Deepika Padukone is getting ready for the Mumbai premiere of her upcoming film, 83. Her husband Ranveer Singh stars in the movie, which she also produce and is direct by Kabir Khan.
Deepika shared photos of her screening outfit on Instagram Stories. For the evening, she wore a black off-the-shoulder dress. She wore her hair in short, Hollywood waves and accessorized with a diamond necklace and a crisp, winged liner. She was posing against a dark green backdrop in the photos.
Ranveer looks dapper on the red carpet in a matching white tuxedo with a black bowtie and sunglasses. He wore his hair up in a ponytail. Pictures and videos from the screening show Ranveer interacting with a child and hugging cricketer Kapil Dev, whose story is based on in the film. The couple’s families were also present on the red carpet.
83 tells the story of Team India’s first Cricket World Cup victory in 1983, captained by Kapil Dev. Deepika Padukone plays Romi Bhatia, Kapil’s wife, in the film. Pankaj Tripathi, Ammy Virk, Saqib Saleem, Harddy Sandhu, and others are also cast.
Monika Rawal Kukreja wrote in her Hindustan Times review that the film “transports you to that era, permitting you to be a part of that victorious moment.” “In all honesty,” she continued, “I felt like I was sitting in that stadium, exhilarating for Team India every time they impact a boundary or crying every time they lost a wicket.”
Deepika and Ranveer recently traveled to the United Arab Emirates for the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, where the film premiered. They then travel to Dubai for an event where the trailer for the film was show on the Burj Khalifa.
