Google Pixel 6A was unveiled today at the Google I/O 2022 developer conference. The affordable A-series smartphone is the third Pixel 6-series and shares many similarities with the more expensive vanilla Pixel 6, including the design language and the Tensor chipset that powers the device. At the event, Google also unveiled the Pixel Buds Pro. Everything you need to know about both products, including their prices, features, and specifications.

The Google Pixel 6A

The Google Pixel 6A has a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The front camera is housed in a punch-hole cutout in the center of the device. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro both have a horizontally aligned camera bar that spans the phone’s width on the back.

The Pixel 6A is powered by the Tensor GS101 chipset, which also powers the other two Pixel 6-series phones. This comes with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of storage. A 12.2MP primary camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera are included in the camera setup. For selfies also video calls, there is a single 8MP front-facing camera.

The Pixel 6a ships with Android 12 and includes a 4,500mAh battery supporting 25W fast charging. Bluetooth, WiFi, and NFC are among the connectivity options. Stereo speakers are also included with the phone.

Google unveiled the Pixel Buds Pro, which features active noise cancellation and a new custom audio processor. The earbuds also have a transparency mode that allows users to hear what’s going on outside. In addition, the Pixel Buds Pro will have a battery life of 11 hours or 7 hours with ANC turned on.

The new earbuds will also feature integration with Google Assistant. In addition, spatial Audio will also be added to the earbuds via an update later this year.
