Raju Shrivastava died after collapsing while working out at the gym.

In terrible news, comedian Raju Shrivastava died on Wednesday. According to ANI, Shrivastava was brought to AIIMS Delhi on August 10 after experiencing chest trouble. He reportedly fainted at the gym while working out.

Raju Srivastav, who died at age 58, was a famous comedian and actor in Hindi films such as Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, Bombay to Goa, and Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya. Raju Srivastav, a prominent face in the entertainment business since the 1980s, rose to prominence after appearing in the inaugural season of the reality stand-up comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005.

On August 10, the comedian was to Delhi’s AIIMS hospital after having a heart arrest. He fainted while running on a treadmill in a South Delhi gym.

His trainer took him to the hospital, where he received CPR and angioplasty.

Raju Srivastava, also known as Gajodhar, was born on December 25, 1963, in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, to a middle-class family. His father, Ramesh Chandra Srivastava, was a poet who went by the moniker Balai Kaka. Raju Srivastav had been an excellent mimic since infancy and always knew he wanted to be a comedian.

Raju Srivastav began his career in Hindi films, playing minor roles. He also appeared on Bigg Boss (Hindi Season 3) and lived in the house for over two months. Later, he appeared on the comedy show Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala. The comedian and his wife appeared on Nach Baliye Season 6 in 2013. He has also been on Kapil Sharma’s Comedy Nights.
