Adani Green Operationalizes 1,000 MW Solar Capacity at Khavda

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) announces the operationalization of 1,000 MW of solar energy capacity at Khavda in Gujarat, marking a significant milestone in the world’s largest renewable energy park.

Accelerated Progress and Commitment to Goals by Adani Green:

AGEL achieves this feat in less than 12 months, demonstrating its commitment to India’s target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. The company now boasts an operational capacity of 9,478 MW and aims for 45,000 MW by 2030.

The rapid deployment involved installing approximately 2.4 million solar modules, highlighting AGEL’s efficiency and scale in executing large-scale renewable energy projects. The Khavda RE park spans an expansive 538 sq km of barren land, reinforcing its status as a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure.

Economic and Environmental Impact:

The Khavda project is expected to generate over 15,200 green jobs and contribute significantly to the growth of India’s renewable energy sector. AGEL’s investment in renewable energy infrastructure underscores its commitment to sustainable development and job creation.

AGEL plans to deploy waterless cleaning robots across the entire solar capacity to address dust accumulation on panels.

This will enhance energy output while conserving water resources in the arid Kutch region. AGEL’s dedication to maximizing efficiency and sustainability in its operations reflects this innovative approach.

Replication of Success and Future Plans by Adani Green:

Following the success at Khavda, AGEL aims to replicate its achievements by building and operating additional renewable energy projects, such as India’s first and the world’s largest wind-solar hybrid cluster at Jaisalmer.

The company’s ambitious expansion plans signify its pivotal role in advancing India’s renewable energy agenda and combating climate change.
