Faruqui refused to comment on this matter:
While Faruqui declined to comment on the matter, he said, “I’m not going to comment on this matter, but I have complete faith in my judges and laws.” Faruqui, who’d been arrested on January 1 for allegedly harming religious feelings and breaching the Covid-19 guidelines, was released from jail after issuing bail on Friday by the Supreme Court.
Since the Madhya Pradesh high court dismissed his bail plea on January 28, the apex court issued him temporary bail. The apex court has stayed the manufacturing warrant issued by a court in Prayagraj towards Faruqui connected with an FIR registered there.
As Indore Central Jail Superintendent Rakesh Bhangre stated:
Just after the initial refusal due to documentation, he was released late on Saturday night by Indore central jail administration after intervention from chief judicial magistrate Aman Singh Bhuria, a jail prisoner said. “Indore Central Jail Superintendent Rakesh Bhangre says, “Till later evening we did not receive any SC orders.
Throughout the afternoon, we obtained an order to release Faruqui from the Indore district court. However, we won’t receive a production warrant revocation notice from the Prayagraj [in Uttar Pradesh] trial court.” “Since we did not release him, I was called by CJM Aman Singh Bhuria as well as asked for a reason not to detain him.
I told him that we would be waiting in Prayagraj for a validated copy of the SC order or even a copy of the order from the trial court. We got a copy, downloaded through the Apex Court’s official website, after a few moments. We told him that the copy had been received as well as the CJM requested us to release him in the evening,’ says Bhangre.
Faruqui’s lawyer stated:
However, Faruqui’s lawyer, Anshuman Srivastav, says, “We given a certified copy of the notice to release him.”
