The Army Chief will also interact with the troops and review the on-ground progress in talks with the Chinese Military.

On Wednesday, Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane will visit the forward locations in the Eastern Ladakh area as part of his two-day visit to Ladakh, to review the on-ground reality of the situation and the progress in having talks with the Chinese military. The Army Chief is also expected to interact with the troops posted in and around the particular border area. 
Army sources revealed,” On a two-day visit to Ladakh, Army Chief General MM Naravane is on a visit to the forward locations in the Eastern Ladakh area today. The chief will also interact with troops on the ground there.”  On Tuesday, the Army Chief arrived in Leh to review the on-ground scenario and progress in a dialogue with the Chinese military.

Army Chief meets injured soldiers:
The Army Chief along with the Northern Army Commander and Leh Corps Commander met and interacted with Ladakh MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, during the two-day visit to Eastern Ladakh. The Army Chief also visited all those gallant Indian Army soldiers who were injured during the Galwan valley clash with the Chinese military on June 15. The soldiers undergoing treatment at the Army hospital interacted with The Army Chief and he also lauded their efforts in keeping up the India Army’s name and stature intact.


India and China have engaged in military-level talks to calm the tensions and disputes after the violent face-off on June 15, which claimed the lives of 20 Indian soldiers. Indian intercepts revealed that in the Galwan Valley clash, 43 Chinese soldiers were killed and several others were seriously injured.  The Army Chief before coming to Ladakh had discussed the border-tensions with Top Army commanders in Delhi.
