Audi introduced the Q8 e-tron in India, with prices starting at Rs. 1.14 crore for the SUV variant and Rs. 1.18 crore for the Sportback, ex-showroom, India.

The Q8 e-tron is essentially an updated version of what was previously known as the e-tron.

The SUV and the Sportback are offered in two trim levels – 50 and 55 – with WLTP ranges of up to 600km. Bookings for the Q8 e-tron are now open for a nominal price of Rs 5 lakh.

The specifications of the Audi Q8 e-tron:

The battery specifications are the most significant changes on the e-tron facelift or the Q8 e-tron. The 55 variation now has a larger 114kW battery, up from a 95kW battery in the previous version.

Meanwhile, the lower-spec 50 version, which previously used a 71kW battery, has been upgraded to a 95kW battery pack.

The battery powers two electric motors, one on each axle, with a total output of 340hp and 408hp in the 50 and 55 variants, respectively, with a torque output 664Nm in both. The advertised range varies according to battery size and body design.

The battery range of the model:

The SUV has a maximum claimed range of 491km in the 50 and 55 variants and 582km in the 55 model, while the Sportback has a maximum range of 505km and 600km in the 50 and 55 variants, respectively.

The Q8 e-tron has a 22kW AC charger and can support up to 170kW DC fast charging. Audi states that the Q8 e-tron 50 can charge from 0 to 100% in roughly 4.45 hours, while the 55 variant with the larger battery pack takes six hours.
