Bappi Lahiri, a composer and singer died in a hospital in Mumbai.

At the age of 69, Bappi Lahiri performed popular songs in several films from the late 1970s and early 1980s. Including ‘Chalte Chalte,’ ‘Disco Dancer,’ also ‘Sharaabi.’ His most recent Bollywood song, Bhankas, was write for the 2020 film ‘Baaghi 3’.

Today, Bappi Lahiri, a music composer and singer who popularised disco music in India in the 1980s or 1990s, died at Mumbai’s CritiCare Hospital. He was 69 years old.

Lahiri had been in the hospital for a month also was released on Monday. However, his health deteriorated on Tuesday, and his family requested that a doctor come to their home. Bappi Lahiri was taken to the hospital. He was suffering from several medical issues.

“He died shortly before midnight due to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea),” said Dr. Deepak Namjoshi, hospital director, to PTI.
