PM Modi Promises Nandigram-Style Victory in Bhabanipur With Six Big Guarantees

In a high-octane pitch ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared on Thursday that the BJP is set to replicate its historic 2021 Nandigram victory in Bhabanipur. Addressing massive rallies in Haldia and Asansol, the Prime Minister positioned Bhabanipur—the stronghold of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee—as the symbolic epicenter of the 2026 contest. With the state heading to polls in two phases on April 23 and 29, Modi unveiled his “six guarantees,” a strategic roadmap aimed at dismantling the Trinamool Congress’s decade-long hold on power.

Administrative Reform and Economic Promises

Central to the Prime Minister’s “Modi Guarantee” is a total overhaul of the state’s administrative and financial landscape. He pledged that a BJP-led government would immediately implement the 7th Pay Commission for state employees and teachers, addressing a long-standing grievance regarding pay parity. Furthermore, Modi guaranteed a shift from “Bhoy” (fear) to “Bharosa” (trust), promising an accountable administration where public servants are directly answerable to the citizens. He emphasized that a “double-engine government” is essential to unlock the state’s industrial potential and restore its historical economic prominence.

Accountability and Social Justice

The Prime Minister took a hardline stance on law and order, vowing to reopen all files related to corruption, scams, and crimes against women. “No TMC goon will evade the law,” he asserted, promising that justice would be fast-tracked for victims of violence. Addressing the sensitive issue of citizenship, Modi’s fifth guarantee assured that refugees would receive full constitutional rights, while “infiltrators” would be identified and removed. By framing the election as a battle against “mafia raj” and “syndicate culture,” the Prime Minister urged voters to choose a path of development and security when the results are declared on May 4.
