The government has yet to point an official statement explaining why BGMI is banned in India. But the real that it has forced Google and Apple to remove the BGMI game from their respective app stores via an order citing Section 69A of the IT Act indicates that the government regards the BGMI game as a cyber threat.
According to an earlier report by News18, a senior government official stated that the BGMI app is found to be communicating with servers located in China, either directly or indirectly. “The analysis also revealed that this application contains malicious code and obtains a slew of critical permissions. Having said that, the good news is that Krafton is not giving up hope and intends to remain in the Indian market after complying with local laws. When PUBG Mobile was ban in India in 2020, it only took Krafton 10 months to re-enter the Indian gaming market with BGMI. Even now, Krafton is assuring Indian gamers. Krafton stated in an official statement, “We kindly request that you wait to hear from us. We will keep you updated on any further developments.
