Bigg Boss OTT 2 finale made record of 72 lakhs live watching

The reality shows Bigg Boss OTT 2 ended on Monday. Bollywood star Salman Khan hosted the last episode, with a peak concurrent viewership of 72 lahks on the digital platform Jio Cinema. 

A total of 23 lakh viewers watched the full live telecast of the grand finale, which finished with YouTuber Elvish Yadav taking home the winner’s trophy.

According to platform sources, 25 crore votes were cast during the 15-minute period when voting lines were opened during the finale to vote for the two finalists – Elvish and Abhishek Malhan.

Jio Cinema’s official success Bigg Boss OTT 2:

According to a press release from Jio Cinema, the platform saw 245 million video views and 540 crore votes during the two months BB OTT 2 was available. After the IPL, it also claimed to have the largest audience for a live-streamed event in India.

The finale drew over 10 million unique viewers and approximately 3000 billion minutes of viewing time. The states of Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Gujarat, West Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh all contributed considerably to viewership, according to the announcement.

Contestant list of the second season:

Aside from Elvish and Abhishek, Manisha Rani, Bebika Dhurve, and Pooja Bhatt reached the Bigg Boss OTT 2 finals. 

This year’s other contestants included Jiya Shankar, Avinash Sachdev, Jad Hadidi, Aashika, Falaq Naaz, Cyrus Broacha, Akanksha Puri, Aaliya Siddiqui, Palak Purswani, and Superstar Puneet.

Except for Superstar Puneet, all Bigg Boss OTT 2 participants attended the reality show’s big finale earlier this week. All of the finalists’ parents arrived in Mumbai as well.

Salman hosted OTT for the first time:

While Salman Khan has been hosting Bigg Boss for almost a decade, this was the first time he hosted the internet edition of the reality show. Bigg Boss OTT debuted on VOOT last year, with filmmaker Karan Johar as the show’s host.
