In a bid to fortify its presence and bolster support ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Gujarat has initiated the ‘Gaon Chalo Abhiyan,’ rallying 56,700 party workers, including ministers and MLAs, to strengthen grassroots engagement across the state.
The campaign, propelled by the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to realize the vision of a ‘developed Gujarat with a developed India.’

As part of the initiative, Chief Minister Patel engaged in community dinners with the family members of local leader Dineshbhai Bhatola, fostering personal connections and grassroots support.
The government’s release highlighted Patel’s interactions with farmers, youth, women, and leaders from diverse communities, discussing various government schemes and initiatives aimed at socio-economic development.

Chief Minister Patel’s engagements underscored the government’s commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture practices and empowering youth to avoid addiction.
Patel urged farmers to embrace drip irrigation and organic farming techniques, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and agricultural sustainability.
Infrastructure Development for Rural Prosperity:
The government’s proactive measures were exemplified by allocating ₹862 crore for a water supply project benefiting 125 villages in the region.

With the BJP’s resounding victory in all 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat during the 2019 elections, the ‘Gaon Chalo Abhiyan’ signals the party’s determination to maintain its electoral stronghold and advance its development agenda.
