Sara Ali Khan returns to the Cannes red carpet on the 2nd day of the international film festival (May 17).
The actress once again wore the sartorial sophistication envisioned by designer pair Abu Jani as well as Sandeep Khosla.
After sashaying the red carpet in a rich lehenga at the Cannes 2023 opening ceremony, the actress made her 2nd appearance in a monochrome satin costume. She wore a saree-inspired dress with a fusion tadka.
She wore an off-white satin trailing skirt with an attached drape. The skirt and drape had an exquisite border going around them with tiny beads and crystals.
The pleats on the skirt as well as the attached drape, appeared to be a modern spin on the otherwise classic silhouette of a saree.
The actress chose a sensual halter-neck bralette embellished with exquisite beads and crystals in floral themes.
The edgy backless blouse with a plunging neckline was a trendy addition.
“Sara’s ensemble captures the very spirit of modern Indian fashion at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival,” the designer pair stated with images of her in the monochrome ensemble.
Sara Ali Khan made her Cannes red carpet debut in traditional Indian attire. She was dressed in a lavishly embroidered lehenga by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.
A regal lehenga covered with shadow work and embroidery, a blouse studded with pearls and resham work, and a long dramatic veil completed the beige attire.
In terms of work, the actress is preparing for the release of her film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. The film, which also stars Vicky Kaushal, is set to be released on June 2.
