On Thursday morning, vehicular traffic movements remained disrupted and vehicles faced traffic jams across several parts of the city, especially in the outer and eastern areas of Delhi, due to the closure of several border points relating Delhi-Haryana and Delhi-Uttar Pradesh as a result of the ongoing protest by farmers.

Delhi Traffic Police took to Twitter to post a list of borders that had been closed and the alternate routes that travelers can take to travel between Delhi-Haryana as well as Delhi-Uttar Pradesh in order to warn commuters about the closing of borders and alternative routes.

The Chilla boundary on the Noida link road is closed to traffic because of the protests of farmers near Gautam Budh Dwar.
The Delhi Traffic Police tweeted that people are recommended to avoid the Noida link route to go to Noida and use NH 24 as well as DND instead of Noida.
However, the local police said that from Wednesday afternoon, after the protesting farmers moved their protest to the Noida to Delhi carriageway, one carriageway going to Noida from Delhi via Chilla border was open.
Deputy Police Commissioner Jasmeet Singh stated:
The Noida carriageway to Delhi is closed. Yesterday, farmers opened only one carriageway, which is from Delhi to Noida,” said Deputy Police Commissioner (East) Jasmeet Singh.
The traffic police also posted a warning about obstruction of traffic on the Akshardham to Noida-Chilla Border carriageway due to the overturning of a light goods vehicle just next to Mayur Vihar Phase-1 flyover. To avoid the stretch, passengers have been recommended.
Delhi police further in their tweets:
The traffic police informed the other borders that the Tikri border, Jharoda border, as well as Jhatikra border were closed for any movement of traffic.
The warning notes that the border of Badusarai is open but only for two-wheeler traffic, too.
The traffic police tweeted, “The open borders available for Haryana areDhansa, Daurala, Bijwasan/Bajghera, Palam Vihar, Kapashera, Rajokri NH 8, and Dundahera borders.”
