Covid-19: Five least affected states of India.

Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) has taken as many as 86,752 lives and has contaminated the country’s more than 5.4 million population. There are, however, still some areas of the country that have so far not recorded any Covid-19-related deaths.

Besides, due to Covid-19, some states still report slightly lower deaths, suggesting that the virus epidemic has not yet reached every part of the world.

In terms of deaths, here are the five Indian states and Union territories least impacted by Covid-19:

The first state is Mizoram:

Mizoram is the only Indian state to have recorded no death as a result of Covid-19 so far and has among the least number of positive covid-19 total cases. As of Sunday, the state count was recorded at 1,578 after 14 people – including six security workers – had been tested positive for the virus. There are 588 Covid-19 active cases in Mizoram and according to the data released a total of 973 people have recovered.

On two the state is Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu:

The Union territory is the second least affected region of the country in terms of deaths recorded, with just 208 cases of Covid-19. The death toll in Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu stood at two as of Sunday.

The 3rd state is Arunachal Pradesh:

Arunachal Pradesh has seen 13 deaths so far, the third least affected state in terms of death due to Covid-19. Despite a markedly low death rate, Arunachal Pradesh has a higher positive case rate comparatively. The government has seen more cases than Nagaland, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Ladakh, Mizoram, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep, with more than 7,000 positive cases.

Nagaland at 4th place:

Nagaland ranks at fourth position in the list of least affected states with 15 deaths registered so far. The northeastern state now has 1,206 number of active cases of Covid-19 in the state, while 15 people have died of the virus and 21 have migrated to those other countries. The state recovery rate for patients with coronavirus disease currently stands at 76.96 per patient.

At the 5th place, it’s Sikkim:

Sikkim is another Northeastern state contributing to fewer Covid-19 deaths. While seeing elevated infections, so far, there have been only 28 deaths. The government has about 2,342 positive cumulative cases of the viral infection. There are 426 active cases in the state now, while 1,891 people have recovered from the illness.
