India reported a decline on Tuesday in the number of new cases of coronavirus disease. According to the Ministry of Health of the Union, the number of new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours is 70,589, with the country registering over 80,000 cases in the last few days. The national tally has exceeded the mark of 61-lakh.
India Covid-19 Cases:
There were 9,47,576 active cases, according to the Union Health Ministry report on Tuesday, while 51,01,398 patients were healed or discharged from hospitals.
According to the health ministry, the country has reported 776 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 96,318. But despite the grim picture, the Ministry of Health has shared positive statistics. It said that in India, there had been a nearly 100 per cent rise in recoveries in the past month.
Recoveries of Patients In India:
The Ministry also announced that more than 82% of the total number of patients had been recovered and discharged.

It was said yesterday that recovered cases had outperformed active cases by more than five times.
In a series of tweets, the Ministry said, “The commendable feat was accomplished by enhanced medical facilities, implementation of the standardised care procedure, complete devotion, and determination of physicians, paramedics, and frontline staff.”
A web portal has also been launched which will provide all important information on Covid-19, the production of vaccines, ongoing clinical trials, and progress made locally and globally in this field.
The National Clinical Registry for Covid-19 has also been launched by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to collect comprehensive data on clinical signs and symptoms, laboratory investigations, management procedures, coronavirus disease clinical path, patient range, and outcomes.
