Devendra Fadnavis to Rahul Gandhi tweet on Sharad Pawar

After luring criticism for her ‘lalchi’ tweet slamming Sharad Pawar, Congress leader Alka Lamba said it was her opinion.

As Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar said in favour of Adani, the Congress seems cornered in Maharashtra as its other partner Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), made its resentments public over Rahul Gandhi’s Savarkar remark. 

Amid this, a post by Congress head Alka Lamba naming Sharad Pawar ‘lalchi’ has begun a new session of invasion and counterattack.

Accusing Rahul Gandhi of ‘perverting India’s political culture, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis tweeted: 

Established in 1999, Nationalist Congress Party was an ally of the Congress in Centre and Maharashtra. Sharad Pawar acted as the agriculture minister in the UPA governance. In Maharashtra, NCP proposed support to the BJP in 2014. 

In 2019, before NCP and the Congress united with the Shiv Sena and created Maha Vikas Aghadi in the government till 2022, NCP’s Ajit Pawar took the pledge as the deputy CM with BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis as the chief minister in a shock move.

Congress head Alka Lamba shared a picture of Sharad Pawar with Gautam Adani and said those who are ‘afraid and voracious’ are singing a tribute to arbitrary powers because of their interest. 

As BJP asked about the attack, Alka Lamba said there is democracy in the party, and she will be liable for her remark, not the party. For the party’s answer, check the party’s account, Alka Lamba wrote.
