A monumental diplomatic win for Donald Trump ahead
of the US Presidential Elections as the US, Israel, and the UAE jointly release
a statement for normalizations of relations.
On Thursday, US President Donald Trump said that the United Arab
Emirates (UAE) and Israel have agreed to establish full diplomatic ties
after the three countries, released a joint statement for normalizing
diplomatic relations.
A major diplomatic win for
Donald Trump ahead of US Presidential elections:
In a deal that will bring peace in the Middle-East, UAE and Israel will begin diplomatic ties to halt annexation of occupied land sought by the Palestinians for their future state. With this, the UAE became the first Gulf Arab state to do so and it is only the third Arab nation to have active diplomatic relations with Israel. This gave Donald Trump a massive diplomatic win ahead of the US Presidential elections scheduled in November. Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has embraced a Trump proposal that would permit him to seize large parts of West Bank which is occupied, while granting limited autonomy to Palestinians in other areas. This deal also bolstered the image of the UAE being a beacon of tolerance in the Middle East despite being governed by autocratic rulers.
Palestine slams the normalizing of diplomatic
relations between the UAE and Israel:
On the other hand, Palestinians, who have long relied on Arab backing in their struggle for independence, have slammed the US-brokered deal and urged Arab governments not to normalize relations with Israel until an independent Palestinian state is granted in a peace agreement. The statement revealed that delegations would meet in the coming weeks to sign deals on security, direct flights, energy, tourism, telecommunications, etc. Netanyahu and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan along with Donald Trump has a three-way call discussing the deal.
