In his autobiography ‘Believe’, Suresh Raina did not name the individuals but explained that he would occasionally receive a cold shoulder from some players upon his arrival in the Indian team.
After his ouster from the team in 2005, Sourav Ganguly was replaced by Rahul Dravid as India captain.
Previous India batsman Suresh Raina has uncovered that he didn’t have the smoothest of relations with a portion of the senior players of the Indian group at first in his profession. Raina made his India debut in 2005 under the captaincy of Rahul Dravid and when Greg Chappell was the mentor. Raina didn’t name the people, yet clarified that he would often get a brush off from certain players upon his appearance in the Indian group.
“I recall one of the senior players of the group came dependent upon me to ridicule me, saying that I was the one in particular who got all the ‘extra’ practice meetings as though it was just me who planned to play the match. Thus, I immediately requested that he go along with me since I had no aims to hurt anybody. As far as I might be concerned, ragging was no biggie since I was utilized to that, considering my lodging life. In any case, I wouldn’t say anybody at any point got ‘worn out’ in the Indian changing area,” read a selection from Raina’s self-portrayal ‘Accept’, as cited by Mid-Day.

“Trust me; I realize what ragging is. We didn’t have that. What we had were some strained minutes for certain players. There were occurrences when we would welcome a portion of the senior parts toward the beginning of the day, and they wouldn’t welcome back. Be that as it may, I never acknowledged these.”
The Chappell period stays a notorious one throughout the entire existence of Indian cricket. It was when Indian cricket was in somewhat of a disturbance with the entire Sourav Ganguly-Chappell aftermath, which was continued in India’s initial end from the 2007 World Cup.
With Ganguly out of the group, Dravid supplanted him as the skipper of the group, which Raina uncovered was one reason behind pressure between some senior players. The previous left-gave batsmen educated that despite Sachin Tendulkar and captain Dravid attempting to keep a positive climate in the group, it wasn’t all well and good.
“There were sure players, as Rahul Bhai (Dravid) and Sachin Paaji, who was respected in the changing area. They would attempt to keep things quiet. One more critical change around then was Dravid supplanting Dada as the chief,” the selection read.
“Thus, it was the amassing of every one of these components that prompted a periodic turmoil among the seniors. It was a temporary period for the group. Few out of every odd junior player felt agreeable in that circumstance. In any case, my relations with Rahul Bhai were excellent.”
