Emraan Hashmi’s close call on Gunmaaster G9 set.

Viral stunt video sparks safety concerns ahead of film release.

Actor Emraan Hashmi narrowly avoided a serious accident while shooting a high-octane stunt for his upcoming film Gunmaaster G9. A behind-the-scenes video that has gone viral shows an SUV flipping mid-air before crashing onto a van, landing alarmingly close to the actor. The incident has triggered widespread concern about safety measures on film sets, though no injuries have been reported.

The Viral Clip

The footage captures the crew preparing for the sequence, with a countdown preceding the stunt. Suspended from a crane, the SUV flips upside down and smashes onto the van’s roof. While the stunt was part of the film’s climax, it remains unclear whether the crash unfolded as planned or if it was an unexpected mishap. The production team has yet to issue an official statement, and details about the filming location remain undisclosed.

Film Release and Cast

Gunmaaster G9, directed by Aditya Datt, is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 27, 2026. The film features Emraan Hashmi in the lead role alongside Genelia Deshmukh, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Singh. Hashmi plays Eshwar, a dairy farm owner whose determination to protect the woman he loves drives the narrative.

Previous Controversy

This is not the first time the film’s shoot has made headlines. In June, production faced objections in Haridwar after locals mistook a set signboard reading “Bar and Caf” for an actual bar operating in the holy city. The misunderstanding led to a disruption, but producer Deepak Mukut clarified that the team had no intention of hurting religious sentiments. The matter was resolved after discussions with residents.

Rising Concerns

The latest stunt mishap has reignited debates about safety standards in Bollywood action filmmaking. While elaborate stunts are often central to big-budget productions, the incident highlights the risks actors and crew face during high-risk sequences. With the film’s release just weeks away, the viral clip has added an unexpected layer of intrigue and concern around Gunmaaster G9.
