On Monday, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) documented a police case against a Bollywood entertainer for spurning home isolate rules on testing Covid positive. The metro body, be that as it may, has not named the entertainer.

A first data report (FIR) was documented under 188, 269, and 270 of the Indian Penal Code, which recommends detainment as long as two years, or a fine.

“No Compromise On City’s Safety! BMC has documented an FIR against a Bollywood entertainer for rebelliousness to COVID19 rules on testing positive,” the community body tweeted, obscuring the name and different subtleties of the entertainer.

The principles apply to all, and we encourage residents to follow all rules and help the city beat the infection, it added further.

As per a statement by the community body, the entertainer tested positive for Covid-19 on March 11.

The metro body was educated that the entertainer was found out in the open spots and at a shoot notwithstanding testing positive.

“The entertainer’s activities can bring about others getting contaminated, and in the spread of Covid-19 locally,” read the proclamation.

When the municipal authorities arrived at the entertainer’s home, the individual would not open the entryway, the assertion said, adding that the calls also went unanswered.

“At the point when the BMC went to the entertainer’s home to direct, the individual wouldn’t collaborate,” said an urban official.

The entertainer later reacted to offers from a neighbourhood social specialist, opened the entryway, and the BMC had the option to hand stamp the individual for Covid-19.

During a flood in Cases in Maharashtra, boss clergyman Uddhav Thackeray had cautioned against a “lazy” disposition towards the pandemic standards.

“Try not to compel us to force a severe lockdown. Think about this as the last notice. Observe every one of the guidelines.

Everybody needs to acknowledge there is a contrast between self-control and limitations,” CM Thackeray said on Saturday.

A few areas, like Pune, are under a fractional closure with night time limitation set up.
