Gadar 2 box office: movie enters the 400cr club
The box office for Anil Sharma’s Gadar 2, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel as Tara Singh and Sakina, is approaching the 500 crore mark.
According to early estimates from Sacnilk.com, it made 10.40 crore on its second Wednesday. The film is currently worth around 411.10 crore.
Did Jailer affect Gadar 2 box office?
Gadar 2 and OMG 2 were released in theatres on August 11, the day after Rajinikanth’s Tamil blockbuster Jailer. The audience loved all three pictures.
Gadar 2 has amassed almost 400 crore in less than two weeks, putting it ahead of the competition. Jailer has a budget of 295 crore, and OMG 2 has a budget of 123 crore.
It began with 40 crore and grew to 284 crore in its first week. The movie surpassed the 400 crore mark after two weeks at the box office.
It is currently contending with members of the 500 crore club – Pathaan and Baahubali: The Conclusion – at the domestic box office.

Sunny Deol praised the crowd for helping the picture surpass the 400 crore mark. With tears in his eyes, he posted a video on Instagram in which he said, “Thank you, everyone, for liking Gadar 2.”
This was not something I expected to happen. We have reached 400 crore and will continue to grow. Only because of you was it possible. You all enjoyed the film. You all enjoyed Tara Singh, Sakina, and the entire family. Thank you.”
Meanwhile, director Anil Sharma met with UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday in Lucknow. He was accompanied by Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur, and Manish Wadhwa from the Gadar 2 cast.
The remake after 22 years:
Gadar 2 follows Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) on his trek to Pakistan to save his son, Charanjeet Singh (Utkarsh Sharma), from the Pakistani Army in 1971.
Utkarsh Sharma is the son of director Anil Sharma and appeared as a child actor in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra, and Simrat Kaur also appear.
