The 33-year-old Glee actress, Naya Rivera was found dead in a Southern California lake.

On Monday, actor Naya Rivera was found floating near the surface of the lake in Southern California and was pronounced dead. The Glee actor went missing with her 4-year-old son Josey at California’s Lake Piru for six days. Rivera’s death has happened under mysterious circumstances and the investigation is still on. The actor was pronounced dead by Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and authorities said that Josey revealed to the investigators that Rivera pushed him back on their rented boat before disappearing underwater.

Naya Rivera’s body was trapped in the underwater vegetation says, Sheriff:

Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub said,” She must have mustered enough energy to get her son back on the boat, but not enough to save herself.” The death has been categorized as an accident as the authorities also highlighted that Rivera was not wearing a life vest. Although divers had searched the part of the area where her body was eventually found, it is assumed by the investigators that her body might have been trapped in the vegetation under the lake for some days before floating to the top.
