More than 13 million Coronavirus cases reported
globally and WHO Chief said that there would be no returning to the old normal
for the foreseeable future.
More than four months have
passed since the day World Health Organization, informed the world that the global crisis is a “Coronavirus
pandemic”, and
yesterday it was revealed that the novel COVID-19 virus count globally has
crossed the 13 million mark. More than 5.72 lakh people have succumbed to the
deadly virus and it is not stopping yet.

get worse and worse and worse”- WHO Chief:
The Chief of the WHO (World Health Organization) on Monday, at a press briefing, warned that the COVID-19 pandemic is worsening worldwide and things won’t return to “the old normal” for the foreseeable future. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus admitted that” there will be no return to the old normal for the foreseeable future.” Tedros revealed that the ratio of virus trends world-over is going up despite some countries showing positive signs. The majority of the world is showing negative trends in containing the virus. Lockdown, partial lockdown, unlocking, etc. every country has tried various techniques, but somehow the virus is winning. Tedros depressingly cautioned that the global pandemic is going to get worse and worse and worse.

Tedros also made a sly dig at
the United States President Donald Trump, who has not put the whole country to stricter
restrictions despite half of the new daily cases worldwide, are coming from
America. Tedros lamented that a comprehensive strategy must be adopted
worldwide, to curb the rising spread of the novel COVID-19 virus.

the biggest COVID-19 testing program:
President Donald Trump on
Monday revealed that the United States has the biggest COVID-19 testing program
in the world and said,” We have one of the lowest mortality rates anywhere.” In
the US, over 137,000 people have died due to the fatal virus with more than 34
lakh coronavirus cases.
