Hanuman Ansh 2 Budget: Producer Rules Out Rs 10-20 Crore Spend

Producer Anupriya Nagar has put to rest speculation that the sequel to Hanuman Ansh will be made on a massive scale. After the first film’s success, the 21-year-old producer said the makers have no plans to inflate the Hanuman Ansh 2 budget to Rs 10-20 crore simply because the original performed well.

Story Comes Before Scale

Speaking to Dainik Bhaskar, Nagar said the second film should be made on a budget similar to the first, which was reportedly under Rs 2 crore. In her view, pouring in more money would not automatically make the film better. She cautioned that a bigger budget could lead to unnecessary use of VFX or AI that the story may not need, which could hurt the authenticity of the world being depicted.

Nagar made it clear that spending will be driven by the narrative. The budget will go up only if the story genuinely demands a larger canvas, and the money will be used wisely. For the team, preserving authenticity matters more than chasing spectacle or matching the scale of bigger productions.

No Release Date Yet

There is no official release date for Hanuman Ansh 2. The makers are still in early discussions, and the director is committed to another project. Fans may therefore have to wait before the sequel goes into production.

The producer’s grounded approach stands out in an industry where the sequels to hit films often see their costs balloon. By keeping the focus on storytelling and authenticity, the team hopes to retain what worked for the original. Further updates are expected as discussions progress.
