Gujarat board exam GSHSEB 2025 starts from today

A total of 14.28 lakh students from Classes 10 and 12 are set to take part in the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) exams in 2025. The exams will begin on February 27 and conclude on March 17.

Among the candidates, 8,92,882 students are registered for the Class 10 exams, including 4,285 specially-abled students. In the Class 12 General stream, 4,23,909 students have enrolled, with 1,822 specially-abled candidates, while 1,11,384 students are registered for the Class 12 Science stream, which includes 144 specially-abled students.

A total of 989 exam centres across 87 zones have been designated for Class 10 students. For the Standard 12 Science stream, 152 centres in 54 zones will be available, while 520 centres in 59 zones will accommodate students in the General stream.

To ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the exams, stringent measures have been introduced. All exam centres, including schools, will be monitored by CCTV surveillance. Furthermore, the transportation of question papers will be closely tracked through the PATA application to ensure safety and prevent leaks. The use of mobile phones and any electronic devices has been strictly banned within the exam venues.

The authorities have also issued a warning to students and parents to be cautious about false information circulating on social media platforms related to the exam papers. It is essential that all stakeholders remain vigilant and refrain from spreading or falling for rumors that could disrupt the exam process.

With the introduction of these measures, the GSHSEB aims to maintain a fair and transparent examination environment, ensuring that all students have an equal opportunity to perform to the best of their abilities.
