India spinner Kuldeep Yadav was remembered for the playing XI for the second Test against India at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. India captain Virat Kohli won the throw and reported three changes in the group – with Mohammed Siraj supplanting Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel making a presentation instead of Shahbaz Nadeem, and Kuldeep supplanting Washington Sundar in the group.

Sundar had played an unbeaten 85 runs innings in the primary innings in the main Test, yet he needed to clear a path for Kuldeep in the group. On getting some information about the equivalent, previous India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar said that the left-arm spinner could give Team India a favourable position.

“A little shocking that Washington Sundar passed up a great opportunity due to what he has done in the restricted chances that he has been given,” he said on ESPNCricinfo.

“This is the way Virat Kohli continues ahead. He hopes to hack and change workforce instead of progress strategies or play similar individuals to bowl unexpectedly,” Manjrekar added.

“The upside of having Kuldeep Yadav is that a ton of England batsmen were playing Indian spinners on the back foot, which is something great I found in the principal Test.

“Yet, with Kuldeep Yadav, they may not be that agreeable or sure about the thing is coming from the hands. Along these lines, the secret component works for India with Kuldeep Yadav,” he further clarified.

In the interim, India endured three major blows in the main innings with opener Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli getting out before Lunch.
