The world has seen its first look at Robert De Niro’s daughter. The actor, who declared earlier this week that he had welcomed his seventh child with girlfriend Tiffany Chen, confirmed the name and shared a photo of his kid on a television show.

Fans were startled to learn that Robert De Niro had become a parent again when he revealed the news during a recent interview for his upcoming film About a Parent.

The 79-year-old discussed parenting, saying that while he dislikes chastising his children, it is sometimes essential.

Robert De Niro has revealed the first facts about his newborn on CBS Mornings. On April 6, the actor and his girlfriend, Tiffany Chen, welcomed their first child, Gia Virginia Chen De Niro.

After birth, the infant girl weighed 8 lbs (about 3.6kh). The actor also disclosed to the interviewer in the short clip released on Twitter by the morning television show, “This baby is planned.” They decided to have the baby together, and they are “over the moon” with the arrival of their daughter.

The Academy Award-winning actor has six children. With his first wife, Diahnne Abbott, he had a daughter, Drena, 51, and a son, Raphael, 46.

Julian and Aaron, his 27-year-old twin sons, were born in 1995 with his ex-girlfriend, model and actress Toukie Smith. With his ex-wife, Grace Hightower, De Niro has a son Elliot, 24, and a daughter Helen Grace, 11.

Robert originally met Tiffany Chen while filming The Intern. Reports about their relationship began to circulate after they were pictured together on a romantic holiday in the south of France in 2021.

Robert is known for his acclaimed performances in films such as Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, The Godfather Part II, and The Irishman, to mention a few.

When asked about his fatherhood and parenthood, the actor told ET Canada, “I mean, there’s no way around it with children.” I don’t like having to enforce rules and regulations.

But [sometimes] you just don’t have a choice. Any parent, I believe, would state the same thing. You always must do the right thing for the kids and give them the benefit of the doubt, but sometimes you can’t.”
