Police stated on Thursday that three days into the communal violence in Haryana’s Nuh district and neighbouring areas, they had registered 83 cases in four districts and arrested 165 people.

Accused detained in Nuh violence:

According to data from the police department, 139 people were arrested in Nuh, 21 in adjoining Gurugram, and five in Palwal as of 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. Were 42 instances filed in Nuh, 22 in Gurugram, 16 in Palwal, and three in Rewari.

Cops have also taken preventive action in Gurugram (57), Rewari (14) and Palwal (7) under Sections 107/150/151 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. No one has been arrested in any of the violent districts.

Parts of Haryana, bordering Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan, remained on edge due to the violence in Nuh and parts of Gurugram.

Haryana CM says no one will be spared:

On Wednesday, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar stated that no one guilty of the violence will be spared, and those who caused property damage must recompense.

Anil Vij, the home minister, also stated that the “violence was engineered” and that “there is a mastermind” behind the carnage.

Internet relaxed for 3hrs for exams:

Meanwhile, the state department of home affairs has decided to lift the ban on mobile internet, SMS, and dongle services for three hours on Thursday, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., “to facilitate prospective candidates of the CET/Screening test (Group C posts) to download admit cards and exercise other necessary related tasks.”

The relaxation has been granted in Nuh, Faridabad, Palwal, and three sub-divisions of Gurugram – Sohna, Pataudi, and Manesar – where the authorities extended the prohibition on Tuesday until Saturday night.
