Lok Sabha. According to the information released in the Lok Sabha session, 1135 cyber fraud cases were registered in Gujarat in 2018-19 and 2719 in 2019-20. Gujaratis lost Rs 8.76 crore in cyber fraud in both these financial years. The Corona era saw an increase in financial transactions from the Internet and an increase in cyber fraud. In 2020-21, Rs. 12.37 crore was lost in 4746 cases of cyber fraud, while Rs.

Many people who get an OTP call from an unknown person give it away, and they lose their savings in the bank in a matter of minutes.

According to serious experts, cyber technology has made financial transactions much more accessible, and now there is less need to go to a bank or pay a person in person. Life’s capital can be wiped out in a matter of minutes. Paytm Payments Bank Ltd lost Rs 2.22 crore in 3477 incidents in 2018-19 during this period. However, since the last financial year, the incidence of cyber fraud has come down to less than 10.
