What a Match!! Yes, Mahabharta’s Karan won Millions’ hearts, and Curran of England yesterday did win our hearts by playing a memorable inning against India in 3rd ODI.
The inning of Curran becomes a record as it becomes the highest runs at 8th position in ODI. He almost took the match and series away from India.
India Batting first scored 329runs in 50overs:
India started blazingly. Rohit and Dhawan were looking good both played well and did a 100run opening partnership. Rohit departed after scoring 37runs. Beautiful delivery from Rashid Khan bowled him. India were 103 for the loss of 1wicket after 15overs.
Dhawan’s quick-fire 67runs and Kohli failed to score big:
Dhawan was looking excellent scored an awesome fifty, but he too got out in Rashid’s bowling after scoring good 67runs. Kohli, too, got out early. He scored only 7runs as he got out in the bowling of Moeen’s off-spin delivery.
Rahul Failed, but Pant once again smashed England:
Again it was on Rahul and Pant, but this time England didn’t allow Rahul to score big, and Rahul got out in the bowling of Livingstone. It looked like India will reach 400runs, but 25overs things were in balance as England grabbed the wickets at the right time.
Pant and Hardik Pandya Power Hitting:
After 25overs, it was all P2 show, yes, Pant and Pandya show. Both score at rapid speed. Pant scored quick 78runs and got out in the bowling of Sam Curran. Hardik Pandya scored good 64runs, which helped India reach 300mark. The lower Middle-order did try to play hard, but England bowlers were Ready.
Krunal Pandya and the Lower Middle order of India failed to score big, and India finished at 329runs:
Krunal Pandya did try his best, but he could not score quickly in the last overs. Must say England bowlers bowled brilliantly in-depth overs. India got out in 48.2 overs socred 329runs. Surely 30runs short in the end.
Mark Wood and spinners of England:
Mark Wood was the pick of the bowler bowl brilliantly 7overs gave away only 34runs and took 3cruicual wickets at the right time to hold India’s progress. Rashid, too took big wickets of India.
England reply to 329runs in 3rd ODI:
1st over was full of Drama. Roy smashed Bhuvi for boundaries but in the last bowl, he bowled him with a lovely inswinger. 1st over completed 14for 1wicket England. Today was not Bairstow day he took to become the victim of Bhuvneshwar. Bairstow got in Bhuvi over with a beautiful inswinger, and he was trap in front of stumps plumb LBW!
Stokes and Malan innings chasing 329runs:
It looks like England will lose track as Bhuvi was bowling brilliantly. India got many chances, but poor fielding and butterfingers missing catches affected India badly. Stokes got a chance as Hardik drop one easy catch in the bowling of Bhuvi.
Stokes didn’t last long as he got out for 34runs in the bowling of offline Natrajan. Yes, he got out in deep he smashed easy, full toss in the hand of Dhawan, and we show Punjabi style as usual from Dhawan after he took the catch of Stokes. Hardik Pandya was looking happy when Dhawan took the catch.
Malan and Sam Curran Show in 3rd ODI:
Malan scored the first fifty in ODI, but he soon got out after scoring 50runs. Shardul Thakur took the important wicket. After that, Buttler got out. He just scored 15runs. Livingstone scored good 36runs. He, too, got out in the bowling of Thakur.
Moeen and Curran partnership:
It was all on Moeen, and Sam Curran both started to play shots Sam Curran, and Moeen was looking dangerous. But Bhuvi took the price wicket of Moeen, and it looked match in hand for India.
Curran and Rashid turned the table:
Wait, for the story didn’t end here. Sam Curran and Rashid partnership turn the match and almost helped England win the match and series.
It was the all-time best inning by Sam Curran. Yes, One of the best inning by Number 8 in ODIs:
Sam Curran played an inning like Dhoni. Yes, he was picking bowlers for his shots. He smashed three sixes and nine fours. It was a lifetime inning from Sam Curran. The alone warrior, he gave a hell of a time to the Indian team. Curran scored brilliant and the highest run-scorer at 8th position in ODI history. Sam Curran scored 95runs, and he remains not out till the end.
Shardul the wicket-taker and Shardul Thakur Run leaker:
Match change when Rashid got out in the bowling of Thakur. But same Thakur gave away 18runs in 46th over. Natrajan bowl brilliant last over. 14were needed off last over. Sam Curran was looking extremely dangerous, but he held his nerves and didn’t give Sam Curran room to free his hands. Game set and match to India, which was almost gone for them.
Excellent ODI series between number one and number two ODI teams:
It was a great ODI series. Both teams played well. England in patches looked like a winning team, but India, due to Bhuvi, won the last battle.
India’s bowling was rough, Natrajan and all were a bit off colour. Bhuvi was the only one who looked dangerous. Thakur did take wickets, but he was expensive in every match.
Art of bowling in depth overs in ODI:
Indian seamers, other than have, needs to learn the art of stopping runs in crucial times. Surely India was a strong team, but England did play well.
One of the best Allrounder in the world, Stokes excellent performance in India:
Stokes was outstanding in the series. He batted and bowled brilliantly in the entire series. Wood, too, was amazing with his pace and taking wickets at the right time. England did miss pacer Archer, and India missed Bumrah.
England tour of India 2021 whitewash:
If you see the entire series, it is a great win for India. Yes, it was played at home, but England is a tough team to bit with an excellent bowling lineup. Only in the test series, one test England can talk about pitch in remaining matches England lost the momentum against Indian Spinners. In the t20s, India bounces back amazingly against the best T20 team England and take the T20 series.
Takeaway:
England tour of India was a good learning process for the new Indian pace attack without Bumrah and Shami. Surely Fielding needs improvement. It was awful Fielding, not standard India set in recent times.
Now a good break from the International circuit. All set for IPL 2021 from April 9th. Cricket Festival starts for cricket fans worldwide.
