India T20 World Cup Squad: Jasprit Bumrah Substitute: Rohit Sharma and his team left for Australia early Thursday morning. Indian squad members have shared beautiful photos of the Indian team’s early morning departure to Perth. India went to Australia with only 14 players. The replacement for Jasprit Bumrah will be announced next week. Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Rohit Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav posted photos of the team’s departure.

Replacement for Jasprit Bumrah?

India will be short because the team will not include the reserve players who have been asked to play in the ODI series against South Africa. However, India will have net bowlers for the camp at the WACA in Perth.

India is currently in a difficult situation. Mohammad Shami, the ideal replacement, has yet to pass the fitness test. Others like Mohammed Siraj and Deepak Chahar have come and gone. The situation is dire, with India leaking over 13 runs in the death overs in the last few games. Captain Rohit Sharma also coach Rahul Dravid have both admitted as much.

“There are a mess of guys who have not been to Australia. That’s why we’re going early also playing on bouncy conditions in Perth to see how we do. Only about 7-8 members of the squad have previously visited Australia. “We’ve organised a couple of practice games in Western Australia, in addition to two ICC practise games,” Rohit Sharma explained.

Injuries to key players aren’t the only thing bothering Team India. With each passing day, the Indian team’s death bowling woes worsen.

On Tuesday, India gave up 73 runs in the last five overs, emphasising their problems at the end of the innings.
