India touches the 90% Covid-19 recovery landmark: Govt.

India’s coronavirus disease recovery rate (Covid-19) has crossed 90% with 62,077 individuals recovering over the last 24hrs, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that on Sunday. This resulted in a cumulative recovery of 7,078,123, it added.

India is recording a new milestone: 

90.00% of the recovery rate is affected. Over the last 24 hours, 62,077 have been recovered and discharged, while the newly reported cases stand at 50,129, the ministry wrote on Twitter.

It added in a statement that even the achievement is balanced by the downward spiral of the total active cases sustained for the third consecutive day below the seven lakh level.

The new way of celebrating the festival: 

Record recoveries are registered on a day when the country’s changed festive scenario was addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

In his address to Mann ki Baat, Modi spoke of the pandemic that forced us to remain indoors at a time of year when the streets were normally the most crowded. However, he emphasized that precautionary steps should continue to be taken in the fight against the deadly virus.

 

Recoveries have been increased:

75% of the whole new recovered cases are concentrated in 10 states, as according to the government-Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh also with Maharashtra leading the count of more than 10,000 recoveries every day.

The health ministry also highlighted the rapid speed of recovery in the country earlier in the day. It took three months to reach three million recoveries from 0.1 million between July and September, according to the data cited, while they exceeded seven million in one and a half months finishing in October.

Active Covid-19 cases: 

Active cases (6,68,154) constitute just 8.50 per cent of the country’s overall positive cases, with 79 per cent of new cases originating from 10 nations and the territories of the Union. 

With more than 8,000 cases, Kerala has logged the newest cases, followed by Maharashtra with even more about 6,000 cases.

Recoveries also outweigh active cases with 6.4 million. The daily toll from the outbreak, with fewer than 1,000 deaths since last week also continues to experience a downward trend. 

Five hundred seventy-eight individuals have died in the last 24 hours because of Covid-19. Since October 2, the number of deaths has remained below 1.100.
