India’s first National Training Conclave inaugurated by PM

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the “first-ever” National Training Conclave, a government initiative to strengthen training infrastructure for civil workers across India, at the International Exhibition and Convention Centre at Pragati Maidan in Delhi.

According to a statement, the conference is being held in the context of Prime Minister Modi’s desire to strengthen civil service capacity building. 

The Prime Minister has been “advocating for improvement and advancement in the governance process and policy implementation,” according to the statement.

The Capacity Building Commission (CBC) hosted the event, supported by the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB) – ‘Mission Karmayogi’. This conference will include about 1,900 representatives from training and research institutes from various regions and zones.

Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Personnel, Adil Zainulbhai, CBC joint secretary SP Roy, and other CBC members addressed the conclave. Abhishek Singh, CEO of ‘Karmayogi Bharat,’ presented on ‘Integrated Government Online Training’ (iGOT).

According to the official website of the government’s Capacity Building Programme, the conclave is an endeavour to bring together all Civil Service Training Institutions (CSTIs) in the same environment to help find methods for the ecosystem to build and improve.
