The Ambani family purchased a 300 acre London property in Buckinghamshire, Stoke Park, for an estimated $80 million earlier this year.

Frenzied speculation about whether India’s most prosperous businessman Mukesh Ambani. And his family will move to London to live in the British capital for part of the year has added extra luxury and fireworks to this year’s Diwali festival in India. The Ambani family bought a 300-acre London property in Buckinghamshire, Stoke Park, for an estimated $80 million earlier this year.

On Thursday, Diwali, India’s festival of lights, is celebrated.

Although Ambani’s plans have been discussed secretly among privately held companies in Mumbai for some time. Speculation in the media and social circles has spread like wildfire after a Mumbai daily newspaper published a story on Thursday about Mukesh’s possible move and family plans between time. They recently acquired 49 bedroom London property and Antilia, Ambani’s 27-story home on Altamount Street in South Mumbai.

However, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), the leader of the Mukesh Ambani Group. Denied reports of the promoter’s family moving to London to live partly in the Stoke Park estate.

“The Ambani family have no plans to move or live in London,” RIL said in a statement.

“A recent report in a newspaper sparked unfounded and baseless speculation on social media about the Ambani family’s plans to live partially in Stoke Park, London,” the company said in a statement.

A Mumbai tabloid quoted an unnamed source saying. That the experience of carrying out the pandemic at the Mumbai residence made the Ambani family feel they needed a second home. During the blockade, the family spent a lot of time in Jamnagar. Home of RIL’s main oil refinery, the world’s largest, the daily reported. But, according to the report, this time, Ambani was supposes to celebrate Diwali at his estate in London.

However, RIL said that the group company RIIHL (Reliance Industrial Investments and Holdings Ltd). Which recently acquired Stoke Park, would like to clarify that the acquisition of the Grade I listed property aims to upgrade. It as a premier golf and sports resort under complete compliance with planning guidelines.

When the purchase was announce in April, the British press reported that the property was a private residence until 1908. After which, it was convince into a country club. In addition, this property has a luxury hotel and a golf course. The Financial Times reports that the property stars in two James Bond films.
