Ishan Kishan Wins High Praise From Murali Kartik

Ishan Kishan is emerging as one of the most reliable batters in world cricket across all three formats. He currently tops the ICC T20I batting rankings, recently struck a century in an ODI against Afghanistan, and produced a standout 270 in red-ball cricket during the Duleep Trophy final. Days later, he shifted gears back to the shorter format with a brisk 42 as India beat Afghanistan in the opening T20I.

Kartik Praises Kishan’s Growth

Former India cricketer and commentator Murali Kartik spoke highly of Kishan’s transformation as a batter, noting his newfound consistency since returning to the national side. Kartik observed that the impulsiveness that once marked Kishan’s game has given way to a more composed, controlled approach. He added that Kishan’s shot selection and command over his strokes now make him difficult to bowl to, with few safe areas left for opposition bowlers to target.

A Breakout 2026 Season
