JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Result to Be Announced on April 19; Final Answer Key Releasing Today at 2 PM

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially confirmed that the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 results will be announced on April 19, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the engineering entrance examination will be able to access their scorecards on the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in, by entering their application number and date of birth.

In a recent update on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the NTA also clarified that the final answer key for JEE Main 2025 Session 2 will be released today, April 18, by 2 PM. Once released, students can download the answer key to cross-verify their responses and estimate their scores before the official result is declared.

What the NTA Said

Responding to growing anticipation among students and parents regarding the result timeline, the NTA stated that it is working diligently to ensure an accurate and timely release of results. “The final answer key will be made available by 2 PM today, and results will be declared on April 19,” the agency posted on X.

Toppers List and Merit Ranking

Along with the result, the NTA will publish the list of toppers, including candidates who secured 100 percentile scores, as well as top scorers categorized by state, gender, and reservation category.

The overall merit list or ranking for JEE Main 2025 will be prepared based on the total NTA scores obtained by candidates in the BE/BTech paper from both Session 1 and Session 2. For those who appeared in both sessions, the higher score among the two will be considered for the final merit ranking.

Importance of JEE Main Results

The JEE Main is a critical national-level entrance exam for students aspiring to secure admission in top engineering institutions across India, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs). The results not only determine eligibility for the JEE Advanced 2025, but also play a key role in the counselling and seat allocation process conducted by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority).

Earlier, the JEE Main 2025 information bulletin had stated that the Session 2 results would be released by April 17, but no notification or scorecard link was made available on that date. With the NTA’s latest confirmation, candidates can now expect clarity and closure in the next 24 hours.

Stay tuned to the official NTA website for the final answer key at 2 PM today and result updates tomorrow.
