John Abraham recounted when doctors wanted to amputate his leg because he had gangrene. This is what happened next.
Actor John Abraham revealed this during Force 2 a few years ago after his knee was severely injured, and doctors wanted to amputate his leg. John says he has gangrene in his right leg in a new interview, so doctors offered advice.
Released in 2016, Force 2 is an action spy thriller film directed by Abhinav Deo. Apart from John, the film also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Tahir Raj Bhasin. It was produced by John, Vipul Amrutlal Shah, and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.
In an interview with ETimes, John said: “Some of the stunts were lethal. He remember breaking my knee during Force 2 and having three surgeries. I had gangrene in my right leg, also the doctors wanted to amputate my leg. I said, “No, no. You can’t.”
But thanks to my surgeon in Bombay, Dr. Rajesh Maniar, he saved my knee.”
John added: “That was about seven years ago, and luckily it doesn’t exist. Today I walked, squatted, and was even more agile and faster than I used to be. I love to do action. Of course, I’m going to rest and do something. Others, but I want to get back into action. You have to be careful. You don’t have to have fake courage to prove to five people on the set that you can jump from here to there. Sometimes you hurt yourself and become a little more aware of the danger.”
John has starred in many films such as Dhoom, Dostana, Kabul Express, New York, Water, No Smoking, Taxi No 9211, Madras Cafe, Batla House, Satyameva Jayate, Romeo Akbar Walter, and Mumbai Saga. Meanwhile, John can be seen in the latest edition of Attack. The action drama, which depicts him as a super-soldier, is out on Friday. Rachel Price Singh and Jacqueline Fernandez also star.
