In a significant joint operation, the Indian Navy and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) collaborated to seize approximately 3,300 kg of drugs from a ship near Gujarat Coast.
This operation marks one of the largest drug seizures in recent history, highlighting the effectiveness of coordinated efforts between law enforcement agencies.
Seizure Details
The interception of a small ship on Tuesday resulted in the confiscation of over 3,089 kg of charas, 158 kg of methamphetamine, and 25 kg of morphine, with an estimated value of ₹ 1,300 crore.
The vessel’s crew, comprising five Pakistani nationals, was subsequently arrested for their involvement in the illicit drug trafficking.
