On Vasi Uttarayan, an elderly man was murdered in broad daylight in Mehsana. A simple altercation over fighting kite patches between two factions of the society had escalated into a fierce fight. 

In it, the elderly man was surrounded by five obstinate people who beat him with sticks and iron pipes before he passed away while receiving treatment. 

The police have carried out an additional investigation into this incident after receiving a complaint against five people. The fight has also been captured on video.

The general fighting turned violent.

The entire incident happened yesterday evening. Living in the city’s Umanagar society close to Manav Ashram Chowkdi, Nagjibhai Vanjara flew kites on the roof with his family. Five members of the opposing party who were residing in the same society at the same time got into a fight over the issue of patching kites. 

As the usual brawl intensified, the two groups came face to face. Nagjibhai Vanjara was surrounded by five men, hit on the head with sticks and iron pipes, and taken to the Civil Hospital for treatment in a brutal condition. 

The medical professionals in Civil discussed moving to Ahmedabad for additional care. He passed away, though, before relocating to Ahmedabad.

A police complaint has been registered. 

It has been shown that some of the victims of the fighting incident were also on the opposing side. At the time, the murderers Sunil Rameshchandra Vyas, Chirag Hareshbhai Rawal, Bobby Hareshbhai Rawal, Haresh Keshav Lal Rawal, and Vanaravan Babuji Thakor were accused of committing the crimes in violation of G.P. sections 143, 147, 148, 149, 302, 323, 504, and 506(2). A complaint has been made in Mehsana A Division by Act No. 135 by Magilal Nagjibhai Vanjara.

Even on the day of Uttarayan in Mehsana, an attack occurred and was revealed to be a minor incident. Four people attacked a young man in Nanidau Mohanpura village after he refused to give them spices. 

The situation then became more urgent, and the women fled. Two teenagers were attacked with knives by four people, and one of the teenagers was seriously cut in the abdomen. 

The young person who was seriously hurt was taken to the hospital immediately for treatment.
