Lamborghini introduced Lanzador, its first step towards EV

Lamborghini debuted its breakthrough Lanzador concept during the 2023 Monterey Car Week, marking its first entry into purely electric vehicles.

Lamborghini’s fourth series production vehicle will be this astonishing invention. The manufacturer first proposed this strategy change towards decarbonization and electrification in 2021.

Lanzador, the first EV Concept by Lamborghini:

Lamborghini previewed the Lanzador concept with the Revuelto, a V12 plug-in hybrid car conceived as a replacement for the classic Aventador.

The Lanzador idea provides a compelling insight into the future series model, which is set to go into production in 2028.

Lamborghini proudly announces that it spent two years developing a high-performance, electrified car that maintains true to the brand’s essential identity.

The all-electric concept is designed as a grand tourer with a 2+2 seating layout. Notably, this is not the manufacturer’s first foray into the world of four-door vehicles. Previously, Lamborghini introduced the Estoque concept, which was famous for its four-door body layout.

The features of the car:

The Lanzador has a permanent all-wheel drive system powered by powerful electric motors on both the front and rear axles. Notably, the rear axle will be equipped with e-torque vectoring.

Lamborghini claims the peak output will exceed one megawatt or around 1,340 horsepower. According to the manufacturer, the car will be powered by an innovative high-performance battery of “new generation,” which also offers a long range.

The dynamics control system:

The Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI), a sophisticated driving dynamics control system, is one of the Lanzador’s features.

This system smoothly integrates numerous sensors and actuators to provide exact driving behaviours.

In addition, the vehicle will have active aerodynamics, which will not only improve cornering. It will also help to prolong the driving range, which is very important for electric vehicles.

Notably, these aerodynamics include the well-known Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) system, which has been used in the Huracán Performante and Aventador SVJ models.
