Maruti Suzuki Jimny advance booking number will surprise you
Maruti Suzuki India will announce the five-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny SUV costs in the first week of June. Customer deliveries of the off-roader will begin immediately following the pricing announcement.
Since India’s largest carmaker began accepting orders for the SUV on January 12, the Jimny has received over 30,000 bookings.
Maruti Suzuki aims for a 25% share of the SUV market in FY24, with sales of around 475,000 units. Its SUV lineup includes the Fronx, Jimny, Brezza, and Grand Vitara.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny two levels:
The Jimny is only available in two trim levels: Zeta and Alpha. In addition, 4WD technology is standard. As a result, the price may be slightly higher, ranging from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Jimny is powered by the ancient K15B 1.5-litre petrol engine, which produces 105PS and 134Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The SUV, built on a ladder frame chassis, comes standard with ALLGRIP PRO 4WD technology and a low-range transfer gear (4L mode).
Thar competitor enters with a roar:
The popular Mahindra Thar will be the major opponent for the Maruti Suzuki Jimny. The Force Gurkha could be another competitor.
The Jimny has LED headlamps with washers, automated headlamps, fog lamps, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs, and 15-inch alloy wheels outside. Standard features include a hard top, drip rails, clamshell bonnet and a spare wheel on the tailboard.
A 9-inch Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system with HD display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Arkamys surround sound system, automatic climate control, and cruise control are notable features inside the cabin.
The Jimny has six airbags, a brake-limited slip differential, an electronic stability programme, a hill hold aid, hill descent control, a rearview camera, ISOFIX, and ABS with EBD.
