Mercedes AMG is all set to launch it’s GT 63 S E in India
Mercedes-AMG has announced that the GT 63 S E Performance will be available in India on April 11, 2023. The Affalterbach super sedan is Mercedes-Benz’s performance subsidiary’s first hybrid car.
Powertrain of the GT 63 S E:
Mercedes-AMG’s first plug-in hybrid is also the most powerful production car.
It has a 639hp, 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine linked with a 204hp electric motor, producing 843hp and over 1,400Nm of torque combined.
With this, the GT 63 S E Performance can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 316kph.
The electric motor is fueled by a 6.1kWh, 400V battery that weighs only 89kg, according to Mercedes.
According to the manufacturer, the PHEV has an electric-only range of 12 kilometres and a top speed of 130 kilometres per hour.
It also has four levels of regenerative braking and can drive with just one pedal in specific scenarios.
Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Exterior and Interior Efficiency:
The AMG GT 63 S E Performance differs from the ordinary car in minor ways, such as a reworked front bumper inspired by the two-door GT, new badging, new exhaust outlets, and a new alloy wheel design special to the PHEV.
It also has a charging port hidden under a flap on the back bumper. Aside from that, the normal as well as PHEV GT 4-door coupe variants are virtually identical.
On the inside, it’s a similar story. Like other Mercedes PHEV vehicles, the GT 63 S E Performance offers several hybrid-specific indicators for the MBUX system, including an EV range indicator, real-time power consumption data, and an electric motor power gauge.
