Mika Singh and Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti winner Akanksha Puri went on a date on Monday. Mika’s old friend Akanksha won the competition.
After the show Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti ended on Sunday, singer Mika and actor Akanksha Puri finally went on an off-camera date. Mika chose Akanksha, an old friend of his, as his bride for the show. On Monday, the two were spotted at a restaurant in Mumbai.
A paparazzi shared a video of the two of them on Instagram. Mika was dressed in a black suit with a blue shirt and a large locket, and Akanksha was dressed in a short pink dress.
On her Instagram Stories, Akanksha posted a selfie from their date night with the caption, “Love you all for your blessings and best wishes.”
Akanksha Puri has appeared in a few South Indian television shows and films.
However, she is best known for playing Goddess Parvati in Vighnaharta Ganesha. Akanksha joined Mika Di Vohti much later as a wild card entry and competed against Prantika Das and Neet Mahal. Some viewers have labeled the show scripted because Akanksha has been Mika’s friend for over a decade. “They were already a couple before going inside; just the show made it official,” a viewer commented on their Monday video. But, on the other hand, many people described it as “scripted.”
Meanwhile, Akanksha told ETimes that she was aware of the scrutiny surrounding her participation and win. Still, she refused to back down because this was “the most important decision” of her life. “It is been a long time since I have dated someone, and I’m so glad I have romance in my life again,” she said.
This time, I intend to go all out. We are undeniably a powerful couple, and our love story is about to turn the town red.”
Akanksha stated about her friendship with Mika, “So far, my journey with him has been the most comfortable. He provides me with solace in more than one way. He is and always will be my happy place.”
