More then 20% of Crime Cases Reported Against SC Community people of UP ?

A study by the National Crime Records Bureau ( NCRB) found that Uttar Pradesh reported for a fourth of all crimes toward Scheduled Castes in 2019, and the consistency of cases across India in which the oppressed caste was the victim was nearly 94 per cent.

In 2019, the report reported 45,852 crimes against SCs around India, or once every 12 minutes, reflecting a 7.3 per cent increase from the previous year.

This came in the midst of rising outrage over the alleged gang rape and murder of a 19-year-old Dalit woman whose body in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras was forcefully cremated by the police.

The highest cases were registered in Uttar Pradesh (11,000) and Maharashtra (2,000) are the next two states on the list.

The top five states reported more than 50 per cent of the cases of Scheduled caste atrocities as per few big news papers. Of course, Uttar Pradesh is India’s most populated state. The crime rate was highest in Rajasthan, followed by Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, which is a measure of crime cases compared to the population of SC.

The pendency rate was substantially higher than the national pendency rate of 88.9 per cent in cases in which the victims were SCs.

In 2019, in India, 204,000 cases involving SCs were up for the trial and only 5.5%, or 12,498, saw the trial concluded. Among these, only 30% among cases resulted in a conviction and 58.5% in an acquittal.

Less than 10% of the reported cases of crimes against SCs have been found to be fraudulent.
The highest percentage of total crimes against Scheduled Castes (29 per cent) was a simple injury, and rape of SC women accounted for 7 per cent of the total registered crimes.

The figures pointed to the insecurity of SCs, activists said. Nine Dalit women are raped every day in this country, just to display the utter lawlessness of this country! In the case of Hathras, she was not handled in a dignified manner, even in death! What can we expect of a state with the greatest crimes against the Dalits? “asked Beena Pallical of the Dalit Human Rights National Commission.

Raja Bagga, who is a senior officer at the Commonwealth Human Rights Program, figured out that in 75 per cent of cases of crimes against SCs nationally, the police filed charge sheets.

Abysmal charge sheeting rates in Rajasthan and Jharkhand of 30 per cent and 45 per cent respectively are a result of how the police investigate cases of caste atrocities.

The most curious case is that of Rajasthan, where a final report was submitted by the police in 2900 cases (35% of the 7300 cases under investigation) of crimes against SC, i.e. the case closed as fake, he said.

We dont support caste base news and we believe whatever crime happens to anyone is nothing related to caste. Crime is a crime and we dont promote such things on base of caste. Every caste in India is equal and what ever wrong happens to anyone is wrong to all.
