As per the Bloomberg’s latest report, Mukesh Ambani has amassed $22 billion this year, which has resulted in him overtaking France’s Bernard Arnault in the list of top billionaires. Bernard Arnault is the owner of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE and has suffered from the global pandemic economic crisis. Customers have resisted buying high-end fashion clothes, even after the brand reduced its prices and cut costs. India’s richest person now sits in fourth place and has surpassed some of the biggest tycoons, during the pandemic. The esteemed list features Silicon Valley giants like Elon Musk and Alphabet Inc co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, as well as Warren Buffet, the so-called Oracle of Omaha.

The Indian conglomerate faced a
slump in demand for oil amid the Coronavirus pandemic, but its shares have also
more than doubled from a low in March as companies including Facebook Inc. and
Google made huge investments in billions, in its digital unit called Jio. Tech giants have had an eye on India’s
fastest-growing digital business, Jio – led by Mukesh Ambani. Last month. Google stated that it will be spending $10 billion in
the coming years to facilitate the growth of digital technologies in the
world’s second-most populous nation. Ambani has slowly yet gradually shifted
his focus to e-commerce and has made a name for Jio in the global scene.
