NASA showcases a galaxy resembling Latte coffee.

NASA’s Hubble releases an image of a spiral galaxy, NGC3895 which resembles a barista made coffee.

NASA released an image of a spiral galaxy, NGC3895, that was captured by its Hubble telescope on Monday, that in shape and colour resembles a barista made coffee. The galaxy was discovered earlier and so were the images captured by the telescope. However, because of its aesthetic beauty, the current image is trending online on social media platforms. NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope on Monday posted an image online under the caption “One Large Stellar Latte To Go.”

On 18th March 1790, German-born British astronomer William Herschel discovered the spiral galaxy. As part of Ursa Major, the spiral galaxy is located at a distance of over 161 million light-years. Approximately, one light year is equal to 6 million miles or the distance covered by light in one year. Galaxy NGC3895 has a diameter of around 45,000 light years.

NASA’s Hubble Telescope is of great help to the space research center and the telescope is positioned about 570 km or 354 miles above the ground. The Hubble telescope rotates around the Earth at 28,000 kmph or 17,400 mph and it takes about 96 minutes to complete one orbit. It is of great help to discover galaxies beyond our own.
