“Endeavors to expand oxygen creation and supply are on at different levels. Measures like putting in new oxygen plants, giving one lakh new chambers, redirecting oxygen from the mechanical use, Oxygen Rail are being attempted,” he told the residents. 

The Government has also waived Remdesivir’s import duty:

The Government has also deferred import obligation on Remdesivir, a key antiviral medication used to treat Covid-19 patients. 

Its crude materials for more than a half year urge homegrown drug organizations to increase their creation and lessen its expense during the rising interest in treating Covid-19 patients. 

Union minister Piyush Goyal in his tweet:

“By PM @NarendraModi’s need to guarantee reasonable clinical consideration for COVID-19 patients, imports of Remdesivir API, infusion, and explicit data sources have been made import obligation-free. 

This should build supply and lessen cost accordingly, giving help to patients,” Union minister Piyush Goyal said in a tweet.
