According to the new NEET guideline, the student should have completed 17 years of age by December 31 and students with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology can give NEET.

Admission in Medical:

After the National Eligibility cum Entrance (NEET) was made mandatory for medical and dental courses, NEET was also made mandatory for admission in Ayurveda-Homeopathy courses. Now NEET will also be taken for B.Sc Nursing this year.

NEET is not mandatory for students who want to go for B.Sc:

Earlier, for admission in non-medical paramedical courses including Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Physiotherapy, merit was prepared to keep the standard 12 board examination result. Two years ago, the central government covered medical-dental and paramedical Ayurveda-homeopathy and later naturopathy under NEET examination. NEET has also been made mandatory for these three courses.

Deadline extended till August 10 for registration:

NEET exams are on September 12 2021, this year. The online registration is completed, but the National Medical Commission has announced to take NEET with qualifications as per the guideline of the Indian Nursing Council as Delhi University has introduced NEET for admission to a four-year degree BSc Nursing course. Therefore, the registration deadline was extended to August 10.

Age and Minimum marks criteria for NEET 2021:

According to the guideline, the student should have completed 17 years of age by December 31 and students with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology can give NEET. The National Testing Agency has also clarified with a public notice that this is not a common compulsory examination for admission to NEET BSc Nursing. However, the state can apply this NEET score if it wants to apply for its nursing admission.
