Oppo Reno 8 Pro Review: Style and specification?

Oppo Reno 8 Pro Review: Style and specification?

Oppo Reno 8 Pro Review certainly looks the part, but it falls short on value.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro Review phone is the company’s big expensive Reno smartphone to date in India. It certainly looks the part and makes an excellent first impression at Rs 45,999, but a glance through its specifications reveals that everything appears to be relatively mid-range. So is the Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G all about looks, or does it deliver enough punch in terms of overall performance and cameras to justify its high asking price?

With many similarities to Realme’s GT Neo 3 and the OnePlus 10R (except for the price), does it share the same flaws as the rest of the competition?

Price of Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G in India

The Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G comes in a single variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage for Rs. 45,999. Moreover, it comes in two colors: glazed green and glazed black. For this review, I received the Glazed Green unit. Unlike its siblings, the Realme GT Neo 3 also the OnePlus 10R 5G, which have lower starting prices and similar specifications, the Reno 8 Pro 5G’s lack of variants means it will only compete with premium smartphones.

Design of the Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G

The Oppo Reno 8 Pro design made an excellent first impression, especially compared to other smartphones in this segment. It’s not too thin, but it’s just right, with the narrowest point measuring 7.34mm. It’s and surprisingly light at 183g for a phone this size, which is interesting because it has an aluminum alloy frame that looks good and feels premium. In addition, a glossy glass panel made of Gorilla Glass 5 is bonded to the back and is very good at rejecting fingerprints.
